Fernblick

Project

This former countryside inn overlooking the Wechsel region had lost its clientele due to the closing of the local ski resort. We reinvented Fernblick as the place-to-be for weddings, celebrations and seminars with a daring interior and exterior design concept. The eponymous far views should be put centre stage.

Design solution

We combined the local mid-century style with more opulent American 60s features by cladding the 700 sqm façade in pink tiles, creating a glamourous vintage cinema entrée and a spacious garden gazebo.

The formerly separate dining rooms were combined and transformed into a lavish banqueting hall through the use of wallpaper, chandeliers and customised vinyl floors.

The 21 bedrooms and en-suites were redesigned from scratch, using an eclectic mix of wallpapers, vintage furniture and custom-made beds. Our redesign also included a vintage beauty salon, discotheque and Caribbean-style bar.
