Penthouse
in the Park

Project

The goal was to achieve a modern penthouse apartment which draws the surrounding nature from the outside in. This was however a complex task of changing the whole room configuration due to the large windows and enormous chimney walls partitioning the room.

Design

To bridge the gap between modernity and cosiness, a glamourous retro style was created. A play of shades of green, velvet and raw silk combined with brass and round shapes gave this seemingly “cold” penthouse a relaxing warm sense of space. Through wallpaper, sideboards and the construction of a bar complete with upholstered benches, the big white chimney walls were suddenly turned into an inviting part of the apartment.
